Bloomers or Pantaloons

My 5yr old daughter doesn't like to wear underpants, yet she loves to wear skirts and dresses. As the weather is mostly too warm now for her to wear the jeans/pants under her dresses that she normally wears I decided to make her some bloomers.
Well haven't they been a hit! She loves them and my other daughter, 8yrs, loves them too. She recently fell over on a dirt road in a dress and skinned all up her thigh, if we had bloomers then the damage wouldn't have been near so bad.
Over the next few weeks I will make some more for the girls.
oh, the pattern is a Sense and Sensability pattern 'Girls Pinafore and Pantaloons' which is available from Homeschool Heaven.
I have had no internet here since Thursday due to some kerfuffle between the service provider and the satelite company, all subscribers with our service provider have 30 days to find another provider. fun fun fun.
I have been working on a secret santa gift to take to Kerry's Christmas day at Cottage on the Hill in December. Also still doing bits and pieces on christmas projects, which I will share another day.
Thanks for all your comments! Looking forward to reading more....

Catching up on Christmas

I have been spending little amounts of time finishing off numerous small projects for this coming christmas. To date I only have a few of these finished but steady progress is good progress, and gee it makes you feel good to have some of those long waiting UFOs finally finished!

This is the very first christmas club project from Honeysuckle Cottage which is designed by Lynnette Anderson. It has been waiting for the binding for too long but now is finally finished.

This bag only needed a button, but boy can things like this sit waiting for a long time!

This wall hanging needed binding. It has been finished for almost two years now, and you know what? The binding took me less than an hour from cutting to the last stitch. It is a Hatched and Patched design.
